Who does not love to own a motorcycle that has a lot of graphics and has a unique road presence. Very rarely do we see a glamorous motorcycle being rolled out by a manufacturer, surely Yamaha and Honda are exceptions. Now TVS has been making serious efforts in order to make its products stand out but unfortunately the brand is facing a slowdown and now is 4th on the top motorcycle sellers list, after Hero MotoCorp, Honda and Bajaj.
Making yet another move, but in the commuter segment this time, TVS is planning to launch a new stunningly beautiful 125 CC motorcycle probably in September or October this year.
Named as TVS Phoenix the bike looks very impressive primarily because of the graphics used on its entire body. The multi-color tone adds vibrance to the simple design of this bike and you simply cannot overlook it.
TVS claims the Phoenix to be superior than its competitors because of the bike’s unique features. Same features are as follows:
- Premium styling
- Single downtube tubular steel frame
- Petal-type front disc brakes
- Electric start and
- Digital instrument cluster
Complementary features include air craft inspired decals, roto petal disc brakes, alloy wheels, hazard lamps, digital fuel meter, engine kill switch, spring suspension, twin LED pilot lamps etc.
TVS Phoenix Technical Specifications
On the technical front the motorcycle will feature a 125 CC engine that will put out 10 Nm of peak torque and 10 BHP of max power. The engine will come mated to a 5 speed transmission.
TVS Phoenix Price
Neither the official launch date is out, nor the associated details but from our own understanding we expect the ex-showroom price of this bike to fall in the range of Rs.50,000 to Rs.55,000 in India (USD $1100).
Having said that the bike is unique and looks great does not mean it will take over its competition that easily. Competitors like Bajaj Discover 125ST, Honda Stunner and Hero Ignitor are already doing great and to overpower these bikes, Phoenix needs to offer something even better.
