Bajaj Discover 100 CC Commuter Motorcycle Launch In India In December 2012

Bajaj is one of the leading two wheeler manufacturer in the world and beside its strong presence in India, it has proactively been trying to make its presence felt in other markets too. Now when we hear Bajaj, the first world that instantly relates to the manufacturer’s name is Pulsar. The Pulsar series of motorcycles have done a great job in maximizing profits and recently the company introduced the 200 NS, the latest and most powerful of all the Pulsars.

While Pulsar line-up is for power lovers, there is another series of motorcycles known by the name Discover. For a while Bajaj was working on the new Bajaj Discover 100 and finally it is confirmed that the same is going to arrive soon. In an exclusive interview with Executive Editor, Bloomberg UTV, Mini Menon the Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, Mr. Rajiv Bajaj said that the company is working day in and day out on the new Discover 100 and it will launched shortly.

Evidently the bike will sharing the same platform as that of the Discover 125 Sports Tourer (ST) launched a few months back. The very first Discover 100 was launched back in 2009 and since then there have hardly been any major changes. Earlier this year, Bajaj launched Discover 100 4G which was expected to have something exciting and new, but to our surprise it was a downgraded model with 4 gears (the previous iteration had 5 gears).

But the upcoming model is surely going to be all new in terms of styling and features and it is destined to attract good sales volume. Two of the most anticipated features on the Discover 100, besides the new styling, is a more upmarket set of alloys and front disc brakes. The engine would be again a 100 CC unit that will offer best in class fuel efficiency and enough power.
