At times and again, the Kawasaki<\/a> Ninja 250R has been confirmed as the best 250 CC motorcycle so far and was an instant success in the two-wheeler segment in many markets around the world. In fact it was the first bike to enter the 250 CC segment and has been playing fair. After the success of Ninja, many other players such as Honda CBR250R, KTM Duke 200 also jumped into the segment and have been doing quite well and the credit is to be given to their competitive pricing.<\/p>\n

One of the reasons why Ninja\u2019s sales have shown a drop, other than its high pricing, is its dated looks. Now after a really long time Kawasaki has revealed the pictures of the next generation Ninja 250R, the 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 250R.<\/p>\n

We are really content and satisfied with the looks of the new Ninja 250R as it now looks much better and typically resembles its elder siblings, the ZX-6R and ZX-10R. The bike looks more edgy now and features twin headlamps and the fairing has been redesigned to make heat dissipation more efficient. The rear has been redesigned and the 2013 Ninja 250R also features a new muffler.<\/p>\n

Beside the abovementioned features, the most important addition is a new DOHC, 249 CC, parallel twin engine with new piston, crankcase and cylinders. The 2013 iteration comes with a new set of wheels with a wider rear wheel, 140 mm now as against 130 mm earlier. Along with the new wheels you also get a new alloy design.<\/p>\n

A revised steel tube frame now helps in reducing the vibration levels. A new suspension system and brakes are among the important changes and the bike now features an ABS<\/a> version as well. Another very important change is the new instrument cluster against the analogue meter available on the previous generation models. The cluster now features a LCD display with an analogue tachometer.<\/p>\n

The official prices of Kawasaki Ninja 250R are not yet revealed but since the 2012 model of Ninja is priced close to US $ 4200, an expected price of close under $4500 is expected for the new model when it reaches the dealerships. It is expected that the new Ninja 250R will be priced competitively and close to CBR250R as it would the a good way to attract new buyers.<\/p>\n
