A few days back we informed you about the German\u2019s new approach for complete safety of motorcycle riders, Safety 360. The upgrades that BMW has planned for its two-wheeler line-up is pretty much based on the principles of Safety 360.<\/p>\n<p>The most important feature that BMW has considering is of offering <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carblogindia.com\/abs-anti-lock-braking-system-and-ebd-electronic-brake-force-distribution-in-plain-english\/\" target=\"_blank\">ABS<\/a> (Anti-lock Braking System) as standard in all of its models. It is a proactive step as from 2016 the ABS feature will most likely be made mandatory on motorcycles in European countries.<\/p>\n<p>Model wise upgrades are as follows:<\/p>\n<h3>BMW F 800 R<\/h3>\n<p>From 2013, the model will be available in new paint finishes which are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Racing Blue metallic\/Alpine White<\/li>\n<li>Sapphire Black Metal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Alpine white\/Black satin gloss, Magma red\/White aluminium metallic matt paint finishes will no longer be available.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"BMW F 800 R\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ridetalks.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/BMW-F-800-R.jpg\" alt=\"BMW F 800 R\" width=\"700\" height=\"466\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>BMW F 800 R Dynamic Package<\/h3>\n<p>In the Dynamic package, BMW Motorrad will offer a combination of options and special accessories which will enhance the appearance of the BMW F 800 R. The package comprises:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Engine spoiler<\/li>\n<li>LED rear light<\/li>\n<li>LED turn indicators<\/li>\n<li>Pillion seat cover<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Dynamic package is available for the F 800 R from August. The price of the package in Germany is \u20ac 295.- incl. 19 % VAT (price saving \u20ac 138.-).<\/p>\n<h3>BMW F 800 R Touring Package<\/h3>\n<p>For motorcyclists who love to travel, the new Touring package for the F 800 R focuses on ride comfort and touring capability. The package comprises:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Heated grips<\/li>\n<li>On-board computer<\/li>\n<li>Socket<\/li>\n<li>Luggage rack<\/li>\n<li>Pannier holder<\/li>\n<li>Centre stand<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Touring package is available for the BMW F 800 R from August. The Dynamic Package therefore features the following: heated grips, on-board computer, LED turn indicators, the Sport windshield, Electronic Suspension Adjustment ESA II and the shift assistant. There is a price cut for the package which is now available for \u20ac 890.- (previously \u20ac 1,000.-; price valid for the German market).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"2012 BMW K1600GT\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ridetalks.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/2012-BMW-K1600GT.jpg\" alt=\"2012 BMW K1600GT\" width=\"700\" height=\"469\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>BMW K 1600 GT<\/h3>\n<p>From model year 2013 the BMW K 1600 GT is available in the following new paint finishes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dark graphite metallic<\/li>\n<li>Montego blue metallic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The paint finish Vermilion red metallic is no longer available.<\/p>\n<p>The LED additional headlamps previously available only for the K 1600 GTL are now available for the K 1600 GT as of October 2012.
