Yamaha, a Japanese manufacturer of motorcycles which has been into this business since 1955 unveiled its Yamaha 2015 R1M which became the highlight at the show. The 2015 R1M is a special edition of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carblogindia.com\/2015-yamaha-r1-unveiled-at-eicma-first-look-specs-price\/\" target=\"_blank\">2015 Yamaha R1<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Overview<\/h2>\n<p>Yamaha has launched YSF-R1M targeting people who are thrilled with speed and are looking for an adrenalin rush. This demon is meaner in terms of looks and under the hood capabilities than its predecessors. It seems that Yamaha has somewhat inculcated the looks of batman&#8217;s mean machine. The R1 was always famous for its edgy and sharp looks. But with this machine, Yamaha has taken its endeavour to a different level altogether. \u00a0Designed specifically for the racetrack, covered in carbon fibre fairings, the 2015 R1M blurs the line between a production bike and a Moto GP bike. The side view mirrors are trimmed to perfection giving alien look to the overall design. The side view mirrors also sport the side indicators which is a new design.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2541\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ridetalks.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/2015-Yamaha-YZF-R1M-3-720x404.jpg\" alt=\"2015 Yamaha YZF R1M (3)\" width=\"720\" height=\"404\" \/><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Specifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Liquid-cooled inline 4 cylinder.<\/li>\n<li>Power of 147.1 kW (197 hp) @ 13,500 rpm.<\/li>\n<li>Produces torque of 112.4 Nm (82.9 lb-ft) @ 11,500 rpm.<\/li>\n<li>Despite its carbon fairing, it weighs slightly higher than R1 at 443 pounds.<\/li>\n<li>Clear-coated aluminium fuel tank.<\/li>\n<li>Dual 320mm hydraulic disc; 4-piston caliper, UBS ABS front brakes.<\/li>\n<li>220mm disc; UBS ABS Rear brakes.<\/li>\n<li>Highly polished aluminium swingarm.<\/li>\n<li>Tank capacity of 4.5 gal.<\/li>\n<li>Special R1M badge on the airbox cover<\/li>\n<li>Gold-colored front radial-mount callipers.<\/li>\n<li>Specially finished gold inner tubes on the 43mm \u00d6hlins front forks.<\/li>\n<li>120\/70-ZR17M\/C front tyre and 200\/55-ZR17M\/C rear tyre.<\/li>\n<li>Specially developed tyres from Bridgestone to optimize performance of the bike.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2539\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ridetalks.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/2015-Yamaha-YZF-R1M-1-720x404.jpg\" alt=\"2015 Yamaha YZF R1M (1)\" width=\"720\" height=\"404\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0Additional Features<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00d6hlins Electronic Racing Suspension (ERS)<\/li>\n<li>Carbon fiber bodywork (upper fairing, side fairings, and front fender)<\/li>\n<li>Communication Control Unit (CCU) with GPS so that the rider can capture ride data (including GPS tracking) which can be later downloaded via WiFi to the Yamaha Y-trac smartphone and tablet app. Thus, lap times, speed, throttle position can be recorded.
