The litre class segment in the world of motorbiking is considered to be the segment which attracts the maximum number of motorbiking enthusiasts and eyeballs. The bikes are drop-dead gorgeous and the way they move can simply mesmerise you. And if it is a full faired bike, it might as well give you the MotoGP feel on your city roads. And who is the leader of this segment? The Yamaha YZF-R1.<\/p>\n

\"2014-Yamaha-R1\"<\/p>\n

Yamaha YZF-R1 first came in front of the world some decade and a half ago and it has never looked back since then. The bike has been the number 1 choice of the sports bike lovers with the Japanese bike finding a lot of takers in almost every corner of the world. But what has caught our attention all of a suddden is that Yamaha is seen testing the next gen YZF R1 on the test tracks. Yes you read it correct and today we have for you the spyshots of the next gen R1.<\/p>\n

\"2014-Yamaha-R1-Spied\"<\/p>\n

The bike had been well disguised by the blokes back at Yamaha to make it look like a R6 but if one looked at the spyshots and the bike with a slightly more detailed eye, one could make out that it was the R1. The 2014 edition of the bke is expected to get the same 998 cc 4 cylinder engine that powers the current R1 but the most interesting speculation has suggested that this motor would come in a different state of tune to belt out more horses and the exhaust pipe system will see a major overhaul as well.<\/p>\n

2014 YZF R1 will ditch the current underseat tein exhausts for a shorter single silencer which would be present on the right side of the sportsbike. The shorter exhaust pipe has been placed right behind the engine so as to have the mass concentrated in the centre of the bike. The YZF R1 in its next generation will feature a host of changes in the cosmetic as well as the mechanical department so give it an edge over the contemporaries. The bike already comes with a legacy of sportsbiking and its next generation is expected to sty true to its charachter.<\/p>\n
