In the series of sports bikes, Bajaj<\/a> Auto is coming up with yet another bike KTM Duke<\/a> 390. This is by far and large a higher version of Bajaj Auto\u2019s Duke 200. It is expected that the bike will make the market more competitive for others like Honda.<\/p>\n

The confirmation news of launch was released by top officials of Bajaj Auto Joseph Sebastian. The world got the first look of KTM Duke 390 at the EICMA event in Italy. The bike can be seen in Indian market from March and in Nepal from May end. At the initial launch the naked version of the bike will be launched followed by faired and touring variants after mid-2013. The additional feature of the bike is the presence of Anti-Lock Braking System, popularly known as the ABS. So far it is known that the feature ABS is optional.<\/p>\n

\"KTM<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The KTM Duke 390 will be manufactured in India, at Bajaj Auto\u2019s Chakan manufacturing facility near Pune. It will be exported to Nepal from India. Earlier Duke 200 was also manufactured and exported to countries like Philippines from India.<\/p>\n

The frame of the bike is manufactured by chrome molybdenum steel, the same material was used for Duke 200. Other features of bike include its 390cc single cylinder engine that comes with liquid cooling. The engine mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox develops peak power of 45bhp and 35Nm of torque.<\/p>\n

\"2013<\/p>\n

The expected price of non-ABS version of bike in Indian market is between INR 1.8 lakh to 2 lakh. The price will be between 7,50,000 to 8,00,000 Nepali Rupees in Nepal, this includes the import cost from India.
