Its motorcycle range includes tourers, custom and naked versions, and enduro road bikes. All of these beautiful motorcycles are available with 90 degree V-Twin cylinder engines up to 1151 CC. Established in 1921 in Mandello del Lario, Italy, the brand has a rich heritage and has played a very important role in Italy\u2019s motorcycle manufacture.<\/p>\n<p>Moto Guzzi exists in a number of global markets and this Piaggio-owned brand now wants to enter the Indian market in the next six months or even earlier. A few months back, at the 2012 Auto Expo held in New Delhi, India, Piaggio had showcased a couple of Moto Guzzi products and revealed its plans to bring its tourer,\u00a0 the 1200 Norge GT, as a completely built unit (<em>the motorcycle in the picture below<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"2012 Moto Guzzi Motorcycles India 1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ridetalks.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/2012-Moto-Guzzi-Motorcycles-India-1.jpg\" alt=\"2012 Moto Guzzi Motorcycles India 1\" width=\"680\" height=\"481\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The 1200 Norge GT is a potent motorcycle that is powered by a 1151 CC, 90 degree V-Twin engine capable of developing peak power of 102 BHP at 7000 RPM and maximum torque of 103 Nm at 5500 RPM.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"2012 Moto Guzzi Motorcycles India 2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ridetalks.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/2012-Moto-Guzzi-Motorcycles-India-2.jpg\" alt=\"2012 Moto Guzzi Motorcycles India 2\" width=\"680\" height=\"518\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Piaggio is familiar with the Indian market and knows it since long.\u00a0 The company has launched the Vespa scooter brand in India with Vespa LX125 being the first product. And prior to the Vespa brand, the company had launched its Aprilia brand in India with RSV4 R APRC and RSV4 Factory APRC which are commercially available. Both the machines equip a 1000 CC, 180 BHP engine mated to a six speed gearbox.<\/p>\n<p>Other Aprilia motorcycles available in India are the 1000 CC, 167 BHP Tuono V4 R APRC; the 1197 CC, 130 BHP, Dorsoduro 1200; the 839 CC, 75 BHP, tourer Mana 850 ABS, and the globally known SRV 850 scooter that is powered by a 839 CC, 76 BHP, V-Twin engine and comes with ABS.<\/p>\n<p>Since the response from the customers has been good so far, the company is planning to open up a couple of more dealerships dedicated to Aprilia brand of motorcycles in the metro cities of India.<\/p>\n<p>An official statement from the company said &#8211; <em>\u201cWe have just made available a couple of Aprilia models as per customers\u2019 specific orders through our Pune outlet. In view of the good response, we have decided that we shall expand to some of the metros in the coming months with a larger range and with a complete back-up of service and spares availability,\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n<p>The company is also evaluating the feasibility of bringing in the relatively smaller Aprilia products which are currently on sale in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>via \u2013 Autocar Pro<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Moto Guzzi is one of the world\u2019s best known brands.
