One look at the CB1100 and one would mistake it for a vintage classic motorcycle, but actually it is a modern iteration of the actual motorcycle launched nearly four decades ago. In 1969, Honda launched the CB750 that was powered by a then-revolutionary 749 CC, air-cooled, SOHC, inline- four pot unit that produced 67 BHP of max power.<\/p>\n<p>Now the CB1100 is hugely inspired by the CB750 and mixes naked classic style of the latter with thoroughly modern and engaging performance, creating a unique personality of its own. The new CB1100 is sporty without being a sportsbike and can tour, without being a touring bike. It is fitted with an air-cooled and oil-cooled inline-four cylinder, DOHC, fuel-injected engine that produces 88 BHP of max power and 93Nm of peak torque. It also returns 25 KMPL at the same time.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"2013 Honda CB1100\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ridetalks.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/2013-Honda-CB1100.jpg\" alt=\"2013 Honda CB1100\" width=\"680\" height=\"493\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Some of the highlights of the motorcycle are a tubular steel double-cradle chassis, 41mm telescopic forks (preload adjustable), Showa rear shocks and 19-inch alloy wheels carrying 110\/80 and 140\/70 tyres, Anti-lock brakes (standard), twin 296mm discs at the front with Nissin 4-piston calipers etc.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"2013 Honda CB1100 1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ridetalks.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/2013-Honda-CB1100-1.jpg\" alt=\"2013 Honda CB1100 1\" width=\"680\" height=\"515\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cInstant acceleration has its appeal, as does modern styling that conveys the swiftness of the bike. But there\u2019s a lot more to the path of motorcycle evolution. I found myself thinking along these lines for the first time when I returned to Japan, after several years in Europe.
