While there is still some time left before the Christmas season kicks off in major markets, the Indian market has already started the celebrations as ahead of Christmas we celebrate Diwali, which is another important festival. Yamaha is a strong contender when it comes to performance bikes and this year on Diwali, it makes it presence felt more with two limited edition models.
This year at Diwali, Indian customers will have the opportunity to buy limited edition models of the Yamaha FZ-16 and Yamaha Fazer. This is not the first time that such models are on offer in India, as In the past 3 years Yamaha India has done the same twice.
In India, the festive season of Diwali plays a very important role in the sales performance of automobile manufacturers and which is why the launch of these two limited edition models coincides with the season. So as it has been with the previous years, Yamaha India is expecting a boost in sales during the season, this year too.
In 2009, the company launched special edition models of the FZ-16, FZ-S and Fazer, which sported a blue and white paint scheme. In 2010 the company came up with the midnight special edition models of the FZ-16, FZ-S and Fazer. For this year, there will be no limited edition model of the FZ-16.
Coming to the characteristic features of the special editions now, these models come with the following features:
- Yamaha branding on the front forks
- Racing stripes on the circumference of the wheels
- Grab handles coloured in Purple
- Purple midship muffler
- Purple and Silver dual tone paint job
If you are expecting some mechanical changes on these special models, let me tell you all the components remain the same and completely untouched. All one gets is the aforementioned features. The engine remains the same 153 CC, single cylinder unit that puts out 14 PS of max power and 13.6 Nm of peak torque. It comes coupled to a 5 speed gearbox.
Yamaha Fazer and FZ-S Special Edition Price
These models are available at Rs. 1500 more than the price of a standard Fazer or FZ-S.
