The centrally mounted mono-shock rear suspension is also quite visible on the side view with a wide gap between the rear wheel and the rear seat. There is no tyre hugger towards the rear, but there is a large overhang behind the end of the tail lamp which should take care of mud of gravel being picked up and splashed by the rear wheel.
It has an under-belly exhaust with aluminum swing arm which is quite light weight and rigid at the same time. The engine is coated in black and there is a small cowl towards the bottom of the engine. There is a large disk brake at the front wheel and a smaller one at the rear one.
On a closer look at the rear, there is a sleek LED tail lamp with sharp and sleek turn indicators. The Duke 390 is also equipped with ABS for safety of the riders.
